Orbea rallon: Winning worldcups

The re-designed 2025 Orbea Rallon is slack, planted and fast — Very fast. Just ask Tahnee Seagrave about her most recent world cup downhill win on this bike. She’ll tell you all about it, or we can here in this primer.

The new Rallon comes in two flavors – downhill and enduro – both built on the same carbon frame with 29″ or mullet compatibility. This is a pedal up and party down bike.

The Setup you want

Tuning a bike usually requires spreadsheets, service manuals, and some guesswork. Not here. (Re-word)

  • Want to make your suspension more progressive? Flip a chip.
  • Need a slacker front end? Swap the headset cups.
  • Craving more planted handling at race speed? Bolt in up to 583g of BB weight with included weights to the GravityLink.
  • This bike lets you change its attitude pretty easily. And the chainstay length? You choose. Playful 442mm or warp-speed 450mm — lots of versatility and no restrictions.

What kind of riding is the Rallon made for?

If your rides involve drops, berms, tech, or anything that makes lesser bikes wince — the Rallon feels very much in its element. With 180/170mm of travel, you won’t feel under gunned on any trail.

Can you adjust the bike to your style?

Big time. You can tweak suspension progressivity with a flip chip, shift the head angle +/- 0.75 degrees with offset headset cups, and even add or remove BB weights (up to 583g) depending on how planted or playful you want it to feel.

Is this the same bike as Orbea’s Race team?

Yes. No watered down versions here. The Rallon DH version is the same ridden by the pros on the Orbea FMD Racing team. Whether you’re ripping bike park laps or chasing the fastest times at your local enduro race, you can be confident on a bike that some of the best riders in the world race on.

What sizes are available?

The Bullit is available in sizes Small through XXL, with size-specific rear center lengths to ensure consistent handling. This is also the first time a Small Bullit is offered.

The Rallon is available in 4 frame sizes (S, M, L, XL) and 4 models: Rallon D LTD is the downhill version, and the Rallon E-LTD, Rallon E-Team, and Rallon E-10 are all the enduro versions.

New Rallon vs Old Rallon

The new 2025 Orbea Rallon takes a big leap forward from the 2022 model with more travel (up to 200mm DH / 170mm Enduro), a lower center of gravity, and majorly improved adjustability. Riders can now fine-tune progressivity, chainstay length, head angle, and even bottom bracket weight for a fully personalized ride feel. The new GravityLink suspension offers better small bump sensitivity and more composure at speed, while the new frame design features quieter cable routing, improved storage, and compatibility with up to 240mm droppers. It’s a more aggressive, more customizable, and more capable Rallon in every way.

Final Thoughts

There are bikes that play nicely in all categories. The Rallon doesn’t care about categories. It’s made for riders who find the fastest line, then look for a faster one. For people who want a little chaos in their life — but only if they can control it.
